We do mobile sandblasting everywhere, mainly around Melbourne. I went out on my own in 2019. I was busy 'cause I had a few good jobs rolling in that I needed, then I was getting a bit quiet and I got onto you somehow. Just started doing the leads - I was a bit unsure at the start, but you convinced me to do it, and then it sort of went from there, and it was really good.
What made you get across the line? What was the thing that you said, 'alright, I'll do this'?
Your persistence. But I'm glad I did it now.
How's the business changed?
There's always work coming in now, which is good - instead of working by myself flat out every day, I can successfully put on extra blokes.
And how many blokes have you got working for you now?
Five to six blokes, and it's working good.
And what are you looking to achieve this year? Where do you wanna take the business?
I just wanna stay steady. I don't wanna be up and down with work - I just wanna have good blokes on, keep 'em working, and have steady income. At the moment it's been real steady, so it's going good. Most of the time I'm booked out from six to eight weeks, and it's that steady work, and it's good.
You spend a fair bit of money on leads over the journey, you grow your business a bit - is it worth it?
Yes, I think it is. When you're booked out, that's one less stress thing you've gotta think of. Definitely give it a go - if you don't give it a go, you'll never know where you'll end up and succeed.
